Kovvur is a small town within the West Godavari district,, no estado indiano de Andhra Pradesh. It is situated adjacent to the west bank of the Godavari River.
Very famous during Godavari Pushkar. Gopadala revu and temple are very sacred.
There are three bridges across the Godavari River linking Kovvur to Rajahmundry. The oldest of these was built by Sir Arthur Cotton and is over a hundred years old. Subsequently, a rail cum road bridge was built and most recently, another bridge was built for the railways.
