Autoroute 540 (Quebec City) is a short spur road, connecting Route 138 to Autoroute 73 and linking the Jean Lesage International Airport with the Pierre Laporte Bridge. It is also known as Autoroute Duplessis, honouring former Premier Maurice Duplessis.
It is the only north/south autoroute in Quebec to have its exits signed from north to south (i.e. southbound).
There is also an A-540 west of Montreal linking Quebec Autoroute 20 and Quebec Autoroute 40 (and soon Quebec Autoroute 30)
