In chess, E15 is the ECO code for the Queen's Indian, 4.g3 chess opening. The game begins 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3.Nf3 b6 4.g3. The diagrammed position covers the ECO codes E15-E19 and can transpose into the Bogo-Indian and Catalan. Play normally proceeds ...Bb7 5.Bg2 c5 6.d5 exd5 with 7.Nh4 or Ng5. In most Queen's Indians, Black will focus the attack on e4. In the 4.g3 variation, White chooses to support the central squares with pieces, leading to a positional game rather than a combinational one. Anatoly Karpov and Jan Timman are the leading proponents of both sides of the board with this opening.
