Quintus Fabius Maximus, (d. December 31, 45 BC) was a Roman general and statesman. Fabius Maximus was a member of the patrician gens Fabia.
Together with Marcus Caelius Rufus in 59 BC, he prosecuted Gaius Antonius Hybrida for extortion in his province of Macedonia. Although Cicero served as lead counsel for the defense, Fabius Maximus and Caelius Rufus were successful.
After having served as legatus in Gaul during the Gallic Wars, Fabius Maximus chose the side of Julius Caesar during the civil war. He was sent as the general in command of the advance guard to Spain and after the battle of Munda, Caesar awarded him a triumph and together with Gaius Trebonius the suffect consulship of that year on Caesar's abdication of his sole consulship in September. Fabius Maximus died on December 31, 45 BC - the last day of his consulship - and was replaced for the remaining hours of the year by Gaius Caninius Rebilus.
