Quirks & Quarks (Quirks) is a Canadian weekly science and technology news program heard over CBC Radio One of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).
Airing since October 8, 1975, Quirks & Quarks is consistently rated among the most popular of CBC programme offerings. The programme attracts over 500,000 listeners each Saturday from 12:00 to 13:00 UTC-5. The show is also heard on Radio Canada International shortwave transmissions, Minnesota Public Radio, and Sirius Satellite Radio.
Quirks and Quarks has offered listeners Internet audio streams and downloads using Au, Real Audio, MP3 and OGG formats since December 1993. In 2005, Quirks was the first major CBC show available as a podcast.
