R639 road

The R639 is one of Ireland's regional roads which was classified following the opening of a by-passed National Primary routes.
By-passed sections of the old N8 are reclassified R639 as soon a new section of N8 is opened. Eventually the R639 will stretch from Port Laoise to Cork.

- From the N8 east of Cashel in County Tipperary to the N8 west of Cashel.
- From east of to Mitchelstown in County Cork to south of Mitchelstown.
- from the N8 north of Fermoy through Fermoy, Rathcormack, Watergrasshill, Sallybrook and Glanmire, terminating at the N8 Glanmire Road.
