[edit] Movie Plot
The Peanuts gang head off to camp to attend a river rafting race. When arriving, the gang meets a group of bullies and their cat who have won every year they have competed, though their success has always been through cheating, using a motor boat, and causing trouble to others. They would use any trick they could, whether destroying the boat, causing them to go off trail, or whatever else the group could think of to destroy the chance of anyone else to win the race.
In the movie, the main Peanuts characters are broken into three groups...the boys group, the girls group, and Snoopy and Woodstock. The boys group consists of Charlie Brown, Linus van Pelt, Schroeder, and Franklin. The girls group consisted of Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Lucy van Pelt, and Sally Brown.
Throughout the movie, Charlie Brown and the gang run into different obstacles, getting lost, stranded, and found again. The three groups continue to meet-up spontaneously at different points in the race and gang together to help each other when in need.
In the climax of the movie, all three collide and pile near the end. Even Snoopy sinks. Woodstock makes an improvised raft out of sticks and a leaf and wins the race.
At the end, the group vows revenge next year, but they are too afraid (even the cat) to do so after threatened by Snoopy as he beats the cat up quite well. Finally, the bus home leaves Charlie Brown behind a second time and he hitches a ride on Snoopy's motorcycle yet again.
