Rachael Flatt

Rachael Flatt (July 21, 1992 in San Diego, USA), is a young American figure skater, competing in ladies singles.
She grew up in Del Mar, California and now lives and trains in Colorado Springs, Colorado, representing the Broadmoor Skating Club. Her coaches are Tom Zakrajsek, Becky Calvin, Becky Bradley and Erik Shulz. Her choreographers for the 2006-2007 season include Tom Dickson and Lori Nichol.
Flatt started skating at the age of 4 with the La Jolla Figure Skating Club, a local San Diego club. She is the 2003 Juvenile Pairs Silver medalist with former pair partner, Andrew Speroff, 2004 Intermediate Pairs Champion with Speroff, 2005 U.S. Figure Skating Championships Novice Ladies champion, 2005 Triglav Trophy Novice Ladies Champion, and 2006 U.S. Figure Skating Championships Junior Ladies silver medalist. Rachael made her debut as a Senior lady at the 2007 US National Championships in Spokane, Washington, where she finished 5th and was only one of three senior ladies to complete a triple/triple combination in her programs. She also made her international debut as a junior in March, 2007 at the International Challenge Cup at The Hague, Netherlands, and is the Junior Champion, landing seven triples in her freeskate program, including a triple lutz-triple toe combination.
