Talk:Rachel Griffiths
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
[edit] Was she in Thank God He Met Lizzie? (...a really good root...?)
My memory might be playing tricks... I was sure that Rachel Griffiths was in Thank God He Met Lizzie, playing the main character's (i.e. actor Richard Roxburgh's) second girlfriend, after Frances O'Connor and before Cate Blanchett. But I can't find anything about it online - am I thinking of a different movie? Whatever it was, I saw it in the 90's.
One scene I remember is where they first met - they were in a pub, and I think she was playing pool, and knocked him, spilling his beer, and using that as an excuse to get introduced. Her next question was something like "Wanna root?" (Austrsalian for "Wanna screw?") He was shy and said something about preferring to get to know people, to which she replied "But if you get to know me you might not like me, and then you'd miss out on a really good root."
I also saw Children of the Revolution (film) (1996) but I don't believe it was that. If it wasn't Thank God He Met Lizzie then I can't be sure it was Richard Roxburgh - might have been a film with David Wenham? Or maybe I've got the right film, wrong actress (i.e. should be Frances O'Connor)? Any ideas?
I was about to change the last line in the body of Thank God He Met Lizzie to "Australian actors Jonathan Biggins and Rachel Griffiths also appeared in the film." (But I didn't). --Chriswaterguy talk 23:51, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
