Radiant Eclipse is the eighth track on Avenged Sevenfold's third album, Waking the Fallen. It is a mix of sung chorus and screamed verses. It can be understood as a being betrayed by a friend or loved one, however the lyrics indicate friend. It starts by saying, "Two nights ago I was shot, a bullet sunk straight through my soul, a friend pulled the trigger that silenced me." This indicates either relationship failure or backstabbing friends.
The sung chorus shows that he is willing to wait for revenge, "I'll watch you call, calling for me, you can't bring back time"-this shows he is not willing to forgive or forget "Close your eyes, and look away, fate exposed won't let me stay" more focusing on his desire for retribution. The final chorus in the song features sung vocal acrobatics and shows off frontman M. Shadows' vocal talent.
