Radio-quiet neutron star
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A radio-quiet neutron star is a neutron star that does not seem to emit radio emissions like most other neutron stars.
Most neutron stars are pulsars, and emit radio radiation.
Theoretically quark stars may be radio quiet, so radio-quiet neutron stars may be quark stars.
More plausibly, radio-quiet neutron stars may also be pulsars which simply do not pulse in our direction. Two people distantly separated in a galaxy do not agree on which stars are pulsars and which stars are not.
