Rai (unit)

A rai (plural: rai) is a Thai unit of area. It is not an SI unit, but it is used as a standard measurement of area in Thailand and appears in many legal/formal documents. e.g. Financial statements, rental agreements etc.
Other Thai units of measurement of area include the ngan (1/4 rai = 400 m²)) and the talang wah (1/400 rai = 4 m²).
