Raigarh District

Raigarh District is a district of the state of Chhattisgarh, in India. Raigarh is the district headquarters.
The district was formed by merging the states of princely states of Raigarh, Sarangarh, Udaipur (Dharamjaigarh) and Jashpur. Jashpur is now a separate district. Now this Raigarh is becoming one of major producer of steel. Mainly Jindal Steel and Power Ltd, and other small producer also. The volume can be understand by the statement that Raigarh itself consuming about 20,000 tons of coal per day.
