Rain Delay is episode # 2.10 b of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers.

[edit] Synopsis

Brandy is at the Mayan Mall, along with Margo and a bunch of other females. They are all watching Tito, an attractive samba dancer who is one of the more popular individuals in the Amazon. After the demonstration, Brandy and Margo rush up to Tito and they both request a samba lesson at the same time, in which Tito assures them that there is room in his schedule for both of them. However, when he looks at his schedule, he notices that there is only room for one individual, so Brandy quickly decides to trick Margo, in which she flips her bracelet and Margo calls tails, in which Brandy says it landed on heads and she puts her bracelet back on. Margo expresses that she thought Brandy cheated, though Tito encourages Margo that Brandy did the right thing and he tells Brandy to meet him at his house, in which he gives Brandy an autographed picture of himself. At the tree house, Brandy is getting ready to go to Tito’s when Mr. Whiskers comes up and asks Brandy where the two of them were going. Brandy explains that she’s going to Tito’s by herself, as she is going for samba lessons, which she expresses is merely a codeword for romance. Brandy heads outside though Mr. Whiskers tells her that he senses that it is going to start raining, though Brandy sees that the day is perfect and she heads outside, ignoring him. However, as soon as she does such, a terrible lightning storm breaks out and Brandy reluctantly turns around and heads back inside. Brandy initially decides to stay home, though when Mr. Whiskers mentions that someone probably isn’t trying to brave the elements to beat her to Tito’s, Brandy realizes that Margo may be doing just that, so she decides to turn around and head back out. While she manages to get a good way out, she realizes that she is getting soaked, so she decides to use some lily pads as a poncho in order to keep the rain off of her. However, when some frogs demand that she stops taking their lily pads, Brandy reaches down and steals the lily pad that the king frog was sitting on, which causes all of the frogs to begin chasing Brandy in an attempt to get their throne back. Brandy eventually drops the lily pad, though the frogs have torn up her clothing and ruined her make-up, so she heads home in order to change and improve upon her looks. Inside, Mr. Whiskers tries to play charades with Brandy, though she ignores him as she merely wants to change her clothes and fix the way she looks, as the frogs had ruined her make-up. Shortly after she is done, Mr. Whiskers reveals that Margo dropped by and said she was heading to Tito’s, so Brandy asks Mr. Whiskers if he has anything that would help her get to Tito’s faster. Mr. Whiskers pulls out a bunch of junk, including a broken umbrella, in which Brandy fixes the umbrella by putting Mr. Whiskers’ bed around its structure. Brandy heads outside and she starts to make good time, though the wind catches up with her and Brandy is lifted off the ground, smashing into several trees and eventually the tree house itself. Brandy decides to take drastic measures so she changes into an outfit that consists of a bunch of medal pans, though Mr. Whiskers tells her that he doesn’t believe such was a good idea since it was during a lightning storm. Brandy ignores him and she heads outside, though she eventually tries to encourage herself by mocking Mother Nature, though Mother Nature doesn’t like that so she throws a lightning bolt down on Brandy, which causes her to head back home in an absolute mess. When Brandy gets inside, she requests that Mr. Whiskers not say a word, in which he agrees. However, when Brandy tries to push off the raft that makes up the roof to the tree house, Mr. Whiskers tries to talk some sense into her by saying that it’s overdoing it. Brandy realizes the error of her ways and she decides to just stay at home, though Mr. Whiskers gets the idea to show Brandy his scrapbook that he made for the two of them to look at on a rainy day. Brandy and Mr. Whiskers spend time looking at the scrapbook, which consists of several scenes that never actually appeared in any episodes, though the scene eventually ends and it shows that the rainstorm has actually stopped. Mr. Whiskers tells Brandy that should could try to make it to Tito’s real quick, though Brandy expresses that she’s had enough attempts at trying to get a boyfriend on that day and that she actually enjoyed spending time with Mr. Whiskers. However, Mr. Whiskers expresses that he was having so much fun, he forgot to give Brandy a note that Tito gave him, which expressed that Tito had to visit his sick mother and that Brandy would need to reschedule her samba lesson. Brandy becomes furious as Mr. Whiskers didn’t tell her earlier, as she had spent a lot of time trying to brave the elements in order to make it to Tito’s house. Brandy begins to chase Mr. Whiskers around the tree house and the scene fades away while Mr. Whiskers is trying to get Brandy to calm down. Before the credits roll, Brandy and Mr. Whiskers are seen standing on a stage and they express that this episode of Brandy & Mr. Whiskers is over. However, a man on stage tells them that they have forty-five seconds left, in which Brandy & Mr. Whiskers spend a majority of that time talking about things they didn’t learn. However, Mr. Whiskers eventually decides to do the dance of the Celtic Moon, much to Brandy’s chagrin, though the episode ends as soon as Mr. Whiskers prepares to do his dance.
