Ramón Vázquez

Ramón Luis Vázquez (born August 21, 1976 in Aibonito, Puerto Rico) is a shortstop in Major League Baseball who plays for the Texas Rangers organization. Previously, Vázquez played with the Seattle Mariners (2001), San Diego Padres (2002-04), Boston Red Sox (2005), and Cleveland Indians (2005-2006). He bats left-handed and throws right-handed.
German became a minor league free agent after the 2006 season, and on November 17, 2006, signed a minor league contract with the Texas Rangers.
In a four-season career, Vázquez is a .262 hitter with six home runs and 79 RBI in 313 games.

- Before the 2005 season, Boston acquired Vázquez from San Diego along with outfielder Jay Payton for center fielder Dave Roberts.
- On July 7, 2005, Cleveland traded Alex Cora to the Red Sox for Vázquez in a swap of utility infielders.
- On August 12, 2006, Vázquez was designated for assignment by the Indians.
- On November 17, 2006, Vazquez was signed to a minor-league deal by the Texas Rangers.
