Several notable people have had the Tamil surname Ramanujan:-
- Srinivāsa Aiyangār Rāmānujan (1887 – 1920) was an Indian mathematician who is widely considered among the most talented mathematicians of all time.
- Attipat Krishnaswami Ramanujan (1929-1993) was an Indian author, who wrote in both English and Kannada.
- Chidambaram Padmanabhan Ramanujam (1938 – 1974) was an Indian mathematician who worked on number theory and algebraic geometry.

- Ramanujam Varatharaja Perumal is a well known aeronautical scientist of India. He was a director at Indian Space Research Organisation.
