Ravnet
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ravnet is the private, unmoderated discussion group of the Conservative Rabbinical Assembly (RA). Ravnet is often used as a sounding board for the new issues of the day, or even for clarification about points of Jewish law.
Specific details about what is discussed on Ravnet are almost never discussed elsewhere, due to the strict standards of confidentiality upheld by Ravnet subscribers. RA members understand that a lot of the time discussions contain personal details or content of a sensitive nature. As a result, leaking information obtained on Ravnet is considered a serious social offense.
