Rebecca Riots (band)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rebecca Riots was a political folk musical group based in Berkeley, California. They formed in 1995 and disbanded in 2001, though they continued to occasionally perform in concert together after 2001. Its members were Lisa Zeiler on vocals, guitar, and mandolin; Eve Decker on vocals and guitar; and Andrea Prichett on vocals and harmonica. Their songs often dealt with feminism and other leftist political causes, and they took their name from the Rebecca Riots, a Welsh protest in the mid-nineteenth century that took its name from the biblical Rebekah.
