Rebirth of Mothra II, released in Japan as Mothra 2: Kaitei Kessan (モスラ2 海底の大決戦 Mosura Tsū Kaitei Kessan?, lit. "Mothra 2: Undersea Battle"), is a 1997 daikaiju eiga (giant-monster movie), second in Toho's "Mothra Trilogy" of films, which began with Rebirth of Mothra (1996). It was written by Masumi Suetani and directed by Kunio Miyoshi, both newcomers to the genre. Megumi Kobayashi, Sayaka Yamaguchi, and Aki Hano reprise their roles of Moll, Lora, and Belvera from Rebirth of Mothra.
[edit] Plot
The ancient monster Dagahra awakens to ravage the environment with poisonous starfish. Created by the people of N'lai K'nai (a part of the mythical continent of Mu) as a method of waste disposal gone awry, only Mothra can stop it, though it will need the help of the lost castle of N'lai K'nai itself and the mysterious treasure within.
