[edit] Gay Icon Project

In my effort to merge the now-deleted list from the article Gay icon to the Gay icons category, I have added this page to the category. I engaged in this effort as a "human script", adding everyone from the list to the category, bypassing the fact-checking stage. That is what I am relying on you to do. Please check the article Gay icon and make a judgment as to whether this person or group fits the category. By distributing this task from the regular editors of one article to the regular editors of several articles, I believe that the task of fact-checking this information can be expedited. Paragraph regarding Reba's contribution to the 2004 Bush campaign as a "controversy" violates the rule against "original research". The only quoted source is the "New York Post", without any date or other attribution. A search of Google turns up no such article or any other discussion - the only Google hit is to a list of celebrity contributions printed in the Atlanta Journal Constition on October 18, 2004.

The fact (if true) that Reba contributed to the 2004 Bush campaign, and the Bush campaign supports the Federal Marriage Amendment, and that amendment is "anti-gay", therefore Reba is "anti-gay" is a logical fallacy, and "original research" that appears to exist only in the mind of the original author.

If true that Reba supports the Federal Marriage Act, quote with a reputable source something that Reba has said directly in support of the Act and that her reasoning is because she is opposed to gay rights. 13:30, 19 March 2006 (UTC)~ Art Stone

That's a bunch of nonsense. Reba doesn't have anything to do with gays. She ain't gay, she doesn't hate gay, neither does she care about them. Instead of picking on decent people, go hunting. It's almost deer season. (LonghornJohnny 00:03, 9 September 2006 (UTC))

I have created a link linking to the iTunes store to help wikipedia users find music clips and see music viedos. Belovedfreak has been going around and deleting the link off of the page. He/she has emailed me several times explaining that he/she believes that there should be no further changes made under the "External Links." On top of that, he/she has been sending messages, telling me that there will be some kind of spam warning. I am most certianly not creating spam. I hardly even know what spam is. I believe linking to the itunes store violated WP:EL as it is advertising for itunes. Last i checked we weren't allowed to link to a store or a page selling items, unless the article is about said page. --Malevious Userpage •Talk Page• Contributions 00:35, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
