Red Tarn

Red Tarn is a small lake in the eastern region of the English Lake District, in the county of Cumbria. It is high up on the eastern flank of Helvellyn, beneath Striding Edge and Catstye Cam.
It lies at an altitude of 2,356 feet, with a depth of 82 feet.[citation needed]
There is a second Red Tarn, in the Langdale region of the Lake District. This is near Pike of Blisco (aka Pike o'Blisco) and is considerably smaller. It rests at an altitude of 1,739 feet.
