Redblade is a freeware program for the Windows operating system. It uses the Open Gaming License and rules of the popular pen & pencil role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons (D&D). It generates characters, with input from the user, in much shorter periods of time than possible by hand. It also supports using external rules based off of the System Reference Document.

The current stable release, "3.5e" was released in 2001. Its name is derived from the fact that the current D&D rules edition is 3.5. The developement version of Redblade, currently in alpha testing stages. Originally called Redblade SRD, it has since been renamed to Redblade CG.
The creator of Redblade is also the creator of a popular MUD, Dark Legacy, and more recently has developed small tools for D&D, such as "Box of Flumph," a kingdom generator.
