Refuge

Refuge has a number of meanings:
- In a building, an Area of refuge is a location that may be used by occupants in the event of a fire, if evacuation is not possible, either because no escape routes are available or the occupants are not mobile enough.
- in the context of Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, a refuge is a place intended to shelter movable cultural property in the event of armed conflict. Typically, places used as refuges for cultural property are constructed underground, and many such places are built into former mining facilities which are no longer in use for industrial purposes.
- Wildlife refuge
- Refuge, a concentration of population south of the continental ice sheets during the ice age
- A Christian programme for homosexual teenagers run by Love In Action
- Refuge (Buddhism), the basis of being a Buddhist.
