Reid Jamieson

Reid Jamieson is a Canadian singer songwriter born October 20th in Toronto Ontario in 1973.
He has released 3 albums and the most recent one being 2004's The Unavoidable Truth, distributed by Universal Music Canada. Produced by Josh Finlayson (Gord Downie, Skydiggers) The Unavoidable Truth features guest appearances from Sarah Harmer, Mia Sheard, Peter Elkas, John Southworth & Bob Egan (Blue Rodeo, Wilco) . The album showcases his choirboy ways, therapeutic lyrics and country-flavoured pop hooks.
In 2006 Reid became the newest member of the CBC's The Vinyl Cafe Orchestra. Reid moved from Toronto to Vancouver Island (Victoria BC), and is writing for his next album.
Reid has been described as somewhere between Neil Young and Paul Young. Comparisons have also been made to Jeff Buckley, Glenn Tillbrook, Ron Sexsmith and Damien Rice.
Reid is also a vegetarian and is currently writing a cookbook according to his web site.
