Rejection Hotline
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Rejection Hotline is a service that allows people to gracefully indicate non-interest by giving a suitor the hotline number instead of their real phone number. The hotline has phone numbers in numerous area codes throughout the United States. It has been featured on CNN and numerous other news outlets.
[edit] History
In 2001, a few students in the Atlanta, Georgia, US region created the hotline as sort of a joke - but underestimated not only any perceived need, but its popularity as well.
As of January, 2007, there are over 100 numbers active as rejection hotlines, with more to be added.

Hello.
This is not the person you are trying to call. You have reached the Rejection Hotline, provided by rejectionhotline.com. Unfortunately, the person who gave you this number did NOT want you to have their real number. We know this sucks, but don't be too devastated.
So why were you given a Rejection Hotline number? Maybe you're just not this person's type. Note, this could mean boring, dumb, annoying, arrogant or just a general weirdo. Maybe you suffer from bad breath, body odor - or a nasty combination of the two. Maybe you give off that creepy, overbearing, psycho-stalker vibe, or the idea of going out with you just seems as appealing as playing leap frog with unicorns.
Regardless of the reason, please take the hint, accept the fact that you were rejected and then, get over it. And please do your best to forget about the person who gave you this number because, trust us, they have already forgotten about you. So if you call again, we will forced to call you a stalker.
Thanks for calling the Rejection Hotline, provided by rejectionhotline.com.
