Remi Mark Moses (born November 14, 1960 in Miles Platting, Manchester) was an English football player whose main position was as a defensive midfielder.
Remi was transferred from West Bromwich Albion in 1981 to Manchester United for £500k, an expensive transfer fee at that time. He made his United debut on 12 September 1981 against Swansea City. He scored his first goal for United in the same season, and in doing so became the first black player to score for the club.
Although Moses helped United win the 1983 and 1985 FA Cups, injuries kept him out of the team for long periods of time and he retired from the game in 1988 having scored 12 goals for Manchester United.
Moses has two grown - up sons Remi Jr. (who is a CORGI registered gas appliance engineer in North Manchester www.remimoses.co.uk) and Tunji and two daughters Binta and Eva.
