Cobaltbluetony (talk • contribs) – I've been on here since April 2005, after lurking around for a while, where I began creating articles and editing things I knew about or could easily locate, or was surprised had not already been documented:

• One of my first edits, here, was due to the fact that a search for Ben Franklin Technology Center led eventually to here, and then here; the second link lists the address as 1835 Market Street, Philadelphia. Only 1.5 miles, yes, but it's in a totally different part of the city (Center City versus University City), which led me to believe that the addition was not helpful, and possibly a bit of self-promotion.
• Since I work for the University of Pennsylvania Health System (created here), I could easily locate and add information about the health system. (Looking at it now, there are a few notable and verifiable facts I could add.)
• The article Cherry Hill Mall, New Jersey (census-designated place) made no mention of the mall for which it was named, so I began to add information about it. A disambiguation link was later added to separate the mall information from the census-designated place article.
• I created the redirect of Garden State Racetrack for Garden State Park, because having grown up a few miles from it, I knew that the former was a just-as well-known name for the location. Therafter I added the redevelopment information to the Garden State Park article; others have since followed up on my edits and updated as significant changes have been made to the site.
• I started the Moore School of Electrical Engineering article; significant as the Differential Analyzer and ENIAC originated there.
• Shackamaxon significant as the native American village perceived as the predacessor to Philadelphia, and reported location of a significant treaty signed by William Penn.
• Indian King Tavern, historically significant to the American Revolution, specifically within the State of New Jersey.
• I started significant articles about Phialdelphia landmarks Reading Terminal Market [1], and Pennsylvania Convention Center [2]
• I started the article for the National CAD Standard, a national effort to create a standard for building design information data, usually generated during its design by architects and engineers.

• Also, I started editing the Detroit Greektown article with information about other Greektowns, which turned into a disambiguation page for articles about individual Greektowns[3], [4]. The Detroit article was absorbed into an article about all Detroit neighborhoods and projects by other editors.

I enjoy fighting vandalism almost as much as I enjoy creating articles for things I find amazing aren't yet documented by someone else. Lately, I've been appalled at the level of vandalism and really want to be able to help out in that regard. I've learned alot in my time here, and will do what I can to be balanced and nuanced in my efforts to apply Wikipedia policy in a way that allows unique items to be documented while nonsense stays out and nonsense-adders are politely educated as to what an encyclopedia is. Questions for the candidate

Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia in this capacity. Please take the time to answer a few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with? Please check out Category:Wikipedia backlog and Category:Administrative backlog, and read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.

A: I'll try my hand at almost any of the admin tasks (with the exception of image copyrights, as I really am not good that that just yet). I will concentrate in one area if I find that I excel at it, or if there is a backlog. Other than that, I am not picky; I'll do whatever I can as my time allows.

2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?

A: Act of Consolidation, 1854, Indian King Tavern, and Quincuncial map are there I am kind of proud of, but I was shocked to learn that there had not been an article on the Philadelphia landmark Reading Terminal Market. I enjoy local history, and learning about the area of which I am so fond.

3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?

A: I worked extensively on pages relating to Jehovah's Witnesses, my own particular faith, and quickly learned the value of reserved, nuanced responses and commenting on content not contributor. I learned to rely heavily on the policies and procedures in heated debates, and how to deflate the tension, at least learning not to add to it, and cutting back on the impact of my own opinions for the sake of settling issues and geting to the root of a matter or coming to an agreement. I beleive my experience and what I have learend can be applied to any situation over which there are heated disputes.
