Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
- A. I would mainly like to curtail vandalism especially vandalism associated with the University of Houston entries. This would be my primary role.
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A. Well, I've only recently become a registered member, but my non-member contributions from the past include minor edits within various University of Houston entries and the deletion of vandalism. It is my experience that vandalism is quite frequent among the various university pages.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A. No conflicts or editing wars, but I have tried my best to maintain the integrity of the entries I frequent. The pages I would like to maintain aren't necessarily considered "high traffic" so the susceptibility to editing wars is quite low. My main concern is upholding the truth. Too many times I find blatant fabrications or extreme opinions embedded within entries which blurs the line between what is truth and what is opinion or even vandalism. I understand that I do not have extensive Wikipedia experience, but I have more than sufficient knowledge about the University of Houston and would like to put that knowledge to work by protecting the integrity of aforementioned entries.
