[edit] Chemical Structures are incorrect
The picture of retinol is wrong. It has 19 carbons instead of 20. It is missing "C15". As drawn, it is an enol form of aldehyde. There should be one more carbon (the C15 carbon) between the 13,14 double bond and the "OH".
The picture of isotretinoin needs fixing: As drawn, it has too many carbon atoms (21 instead of 20) because there's an extra "CH2" between the 13,14 double bond and the C15 acid group (COOH). Also, the 13,14 double bond should be "cis".
- Fixed. Thanks, Fvasconcellos 18:59, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
