Ribault River
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Ribault River is a tributary of the Trout River. It is located entirely in Jacksonville, Florida. The river is named after Jean Ribault, a French naval officer. The river's headwaters are near Old Kings Road at an elevation of 7 feet as the source elevation. The river cut's through the forest floor near its source. It turns out to be classified as a "creek" at that portion of the river. Oddly, this river flows northward, like the St. Johns River and all the other tributaries in the Trout River. The river is 6.5 miles long.
