Richard Martinez is a fictional character from the television series Cory in the House. He is played by John D'Aquino.
[edit] Character description
Mr. Martinez is the current President of the United States in Cory in the House. As mentioned in the show's music video, he employed Victor Baxter as the Presidential Chef on a visit to San Francisco, meaning Victor and Cory Baxter had to move to the White House. A running gag throughout the show, which could be identified as a catchphrase, is for Richard to look to the middle distance dramatically and finish his current sentence with "...the President of the United States!" Richard is prone to avoid embarrassing situations by either continuously smiling (he tells Cory after the Bavarian fiasco to "Just keep smiling and we may get through this") or going on about how curiousity (or a ridiculous/annoying question) is what "made this country great!"
