Rivka Golani

Rivka Golani (b. Tel Aviv, 1946) is a Canadian violist.
Born in Israel, Golani became a Canadian citizen in 1983. Along with her recording career and worldwide solo performances, she teaches at the Birmingham Conservatoire, and Trinity College of Music, London.
Composers have written over 200 works for her, of which more than 50 are concertos. She recently recorded Elgar's Cello Concerto in E minor arranged for viola.
Rivka Golani is on the faculty of the "Music in the Valley" Summer Institute for Strings [1], an international summer program for young musicians sponsored by the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance [2].
