Roald Zinnurovich Sagdeev (Russian: Роальд Зиннурович Сагдеев) is a famous Russian physicist and former director of the Russian Space Research Institute. He was also a science advisor to Mikhail Gorbachev

Sagdeev graduated from the Moscow State University. He was a member of the Controlled Fusion team at Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy in Moscow (1956-1961).
