[edit] Early Years
Robb was born to Jack and Janet Denovan on June 1st, 1978, in Carleton Place, Ontario. He attended St. Mary's Public School and Carleton Place High School. These years were formative for him, as it was there that he honed his art skills, working under the tutelage of of Mr. Johns. He also forged rock anthems as the bassist for the now-defunct band DNP↑ (Doug's Nicotine Patch). Along with Roy Brown (the WWI pilot who is credited with downing the Red Baron) and Hardy Boys author Leslie McFarlane, he is one of few people to have slipped the surly bonds of this hick town and gained fame abroad.
[edit] Films
Robb studied at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, from 1997 to 2001, and got his first big break as an animator in 2004, when he worked on the Oscar-winning National Film Board of Canada short film Ryan. His next big project, King Kong, took him to New Zealand, where he worked under Peter Jackson on the award-winning film, King Kong. He later worked on The Wild, a project for Disney in which he took no great joy. Currently, he is working in London, England, on the new Harry Potter film.
[edit] Side Projects
Robb has also engaged in, and done popular art for, such social groups as Gentlemen's Club and Medical Architects.
