Robert Alan Jamieson

A Scottish writer and poet, Robert Alan Jamieson was born in Lerwick in 1958. First published in local magazines during his teens, his most notable works include the novels 'Thin Wealth', 'Soor Hearts' and 'A Day at the Office'. His poetry in Shetlandic Scots has been published in 'Nort Atlantik Drift' (1999) and 'Ansin t'Sjaetlin: some responses to the language question' (2005).
In 2005, 'A Day at the Office' was included in The List's '100 Best Scottish Books' (of all time).
