Robert Feke

Robert Feke (c. 1705 - c. 1750) was an American painter born on Long Island, New York. Little is known for certain about his life before 1741, which is the year he painted his first portrait Family of Isaac Royall, 15 more portraits are known to be by him, another 50 are also disputed to be by him. His paintings are known for their sobriety and uniformity, but also for their rich colours and accuracy.
