Robin Blaze is a countertenor.

[edit] Childhood and education
The son of a professional golfer, Robin Blaze grew up in Shadwell, Leeds and was educated at Leeds Grammar School, Uppingham School, and the University of Oxford (BA Music).
Having made his first solo recordings as a treble, Blaze was both a chorister and an academical clerk at Magdalen College and after graduating won a scholarship for postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music. He has continued to study with Michael Chance and Ashley Stafford and he is now a professor of Vocal Studies at the Royal College.

He has also studied flute, pianoforte, and organ. His recreations include golf. As a boy he played Dungeons & Dragons.
