Robin Eder-Warren
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Robin Eder-Warren is a teenage operatic and broadway soprano from the Vancouver, Canada area. She has been training her voice operatically since the age of 10 under dramatic soprano Heidi Muendel. Though labeled as a child as a highly gifted academic learner and put into a school for extremely intelligent students, she has always been more interested by the performing arts. She started dancing at the age of three and acting not long after that, and has already played many staple soprano roles in youth-driven performances (Mary Poppins and the like).
She has participated in the locally legendary Gotta Sing! Gotta Dance! productions for four years in a row, starring in their smash hit show Heaven Help Us! as Diana Daniels in 2005. She went on to help open the 2006 Maccabi Games with the company.
She was named Richmond festival's Most Outstanding Junior Talent in 2002 and Most Promising Performer in 2005. In 2006 she became the British Columbia Junior Voice Champion at the provincial competitions in Prince George after winning her regional competition in that category.
Robin can most recently be seen in the episode entitled "Wise Womyn" of the television show Alice, I Think on The Comedy Network and CTV. She was a featured performer and soloist in the Vancouver Opera production of Verdi's Macbeth in November. In February, Robin teamed up with the University of British Columbia for their production of La Boheme. She will rejoin the Vancouver Opera for their production of Tosca in spring - all before she turns sixteen.
