Talk:Robert Elms

Surely this whole article is bollocks?
Sums up Robert Elms very well though. Applemask 11:45, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
Elms is a tosser of the highest order.
- I have never heard of Robert Elms before stumbling onto his Wikipedia article, and from it I could easily see how I could develop a fannish attitude toward him. An old school New Romantic? Anti-Beatles, especially John Lennon? Both counts are only hugely positive to me. That he is loyal to his city exclusive of every other city in Britain is an error in judgement I can easily ignore. Well done, Wiki article creatorbeingperson. (Krushsister 02:10, 17 December 2006 (UTC))

- If you are talking to me, I didn't create the article. As for his dislike of the Beatles, well if like Elms you can't hear anything of worth in the Beatles music but think you can detect 'real soul' in 'True' by Spandau Ballet, then Elms may indeed be the man for you. However I doubt you'd actually take much of a liking to him, the guy is an arrogant loud-mouth cockney bigot who seems to think he personally invented every fashion trend from the mid-70's to the mid-80's. He is almost universally disliked and with good reason, especially amongst the New Romantic set and the bands he used to hang around (including Spandau Ballet), he's a phoney and a champange socialist stuck so far up his own arse it's incredible. It's like listening to Harry Enfield's Loadsamoney lecturing you on what music to listen to (usually some turgid 'jazz-funk', or what Elms thinks is jazz-funk)and what clothes to wear.
why is there a psyduck on the robert elms page?
Not anymore. Must have been some tosser who did it.
