Roc-La-Familia Records is a sub-label of Def Jam/Roc-A-Fella started by CEO Shawn Carter, AKA Jay-Z. This sub-label will focus on signing international artists, including reggaeton artists, much like Bad Boy Latino. Juan Perez was appointed the president of the label. Roc La Familia is an extension of Roc-A-Fella Records and headquartered in New York. Roc La Familia will feature a broad array of artists encompassing such musical genres as Latin hip hop, reggae, reggaeton, pop, rock and more. The first two superstar releases from the label will come from famed artists Hector El Father (Roc La Familia & Hector Bambino 'El Father' Present Los Rompe Discotekas -- June 27, 2006) and N.O.R.E. (N.O.R.E. y la Familia...Ya Tú Sabe -- September 12, 2006).
