Rodger Bumpass

Rodger Bumpass (born 23 January 1959 in Jonesboro, Arkansas) is a voice actor with credits in cartoons stretching back to the The Jetsons. Present-day viewers know him as the voice of Squidward Tentacles and Dr. Gill Gilliam on the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, The Chief from Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego, Dr. Light on Teen Titans, and Professor Membrane on Invader Zim.

- He has over 120 film credits, according to the IMDb.
- During August 2006, rumors were circulated that Bumpass died during heart surgery. His death was noted in IMDb and in the Arkansas State University alumni newsletter. Bumpass confirmed that reports of his death were untrue.[1]
- Bumpass rides a recumbent bicycle; as an in-joke by the producers, Squidward does too.[citation needed]
- Bumpass was to star in a comedy called Jaws 3 - People 0, for National Lampoon. It would have followed Animal House, and stared Bumpass with Bo Derek, who just made her movie "10". Universal canceled the deal before shooting.[citation needed]
