Rogue Wave (company)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rogue Wave Software is a software vendor that has been developing tools for developers. The company was founded in 1989 in Seattle, Washington, then moved to Corvallis, Oregon in 1990. In November 1996, they had an Initial Public Offering (NASDAW:RWAV). In 2003, they were acquired by Quovadx, Inc (NASDAQ:QVDX).
They were initially well known for producing a popular C++ class library, which predates (and, to a certain extent, was obsoleted by) the Standard Template Library. They now have a suite of high performance Service Oriented Architecture related products and services based on the Service Component Architecture specification.
Rogue Wave is a contributing member of the Open SOA Collaboration.
