The Roman Catholic Church in Costa Rica is part of the worldwide Roman Catholic Church, under the spiritual leadership of the Pope and curia in Rome.
There are around three and a half million Catholics in Costa Rica - 90% of the total population. The country is divided into eight dioceses including one archdiocese.
