Please do not re-create the article Schlogger. Last month, it was decided that the subject of the article did not meet our standards of notability for websites, which can be found at WP:WEB. You can see the discussion concerning this article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Schlogger. If you want to contest the deletion, please start at discussion at Wikipedia:Deletion review. If you just re-create the article, it will be re-deleted. Also, putting a "protected" template on the article when it has not actually been protected by an administrator is deceptive, and not appreciated. FreplySpang 14:21, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

No, the article wasn't deleted out of malice. And once something has been deleted, it can come back if there is new information about the subject. (For instance, if I won a local 5K race, that wouldn't be enough to justify an article about me - but if I then went on to win the Ironman Triathlon, that would change.) Wikipedia articles are supposed to be about subjects that are established, well-known, influential, etc. The original article about Schlogger was written when Schlogger was brand-new - too early for it to be any of those things. If Schlogger has become much more famous (or whatever) since August, you could mention that at Wikipedia:Deletion review. The best way to show that something has become notable is to cite reliable independent sources like newspapers or big websites that have published articles about it. If the other sites listed on the social networking list are non-notable, feel free to propose them for deletion. Instructions are at Wikipedia:Proposed deletion and, if that gets removed, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. P.S. The best place to discuss undeletion really is Wikipedia:Deletion review, which is especially set up for these requests. The only response you are likely to get by posting elsewhere (like Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard) is "Go to Wikipedia:Deletion review." I know it's complicated, but Wikipedia is a complex project, and it really helps us to keep things separate like that. FreplySpang 14:36, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:SchloggerLogo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:SchloggerLogo.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box.
