Ron Brewer

Ronald (Ron) Charles Brewer (born September 16, 1955, in Fort Smith, Arkansas) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'4" guard from the University of Arkansas, he was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the 1978 NBA Draft. He spent eight seasons in the league with six teams -- the Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, New Jersey Nets, and Chicago Bulls -- and finished his career in 1986 with 5,971 total points.
His son, Ronnie Brewer, also played college basketball at the University of Arkansas, and was picked by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2006 NBA Draft.
