Ross Davenport

Ross Davenport (b. 1984-05-23) is a British swimmer. He won two gold medals in the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne for the 200M freestyle and the 4x200 freestyle relay. On Monday, 27th November 2006 he won the acclaimed BBC East Midlands Sports Personality of the Year - won in 2005 by Derbyshire-born yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur. He is a member of the University of Bath swimming club, coached by Ian Turner and trains at Loughborough university. Born in Derby he now lives and trains in Loughborough.
He started Belper School in 1995.
