The following destinations were once served by Royal Brunei Airlines, but service to these cities/airports have since been suspended.
- Cairo, Egypt - services commenced 7 November 1993, teminated 1 July 1995
- Bahrain - services commenced 5 August 1993, terminated 12 September 1996
- Zurich, Switzerland - services commenced 5 August 1993, terminated 12 September 1996
Services to the following East Malaysian destinations were terminated following the sale of all Dornier aircraft.
- Miri, Malaysia - services commenced 14 May 1994, terminated 30 September 1997
- Labuan, Malaysia - services commenced 14 May 1994, terminated 30 September 1997
- Mulu, Malaysia - terminated 30 September 1997
- Bintulu, Malaysia - services commenced 3 July 1996, terminated 30 September 1997
- Yangon, Myanmar - services commenced 12 September 1996, terminated 30 October 1997
- Beijing, China - services commenced 3 October 1993, terminated 25 October 1998
- Osaka, Japan - services commenced 2 December 1994, terminated 25 October 1998
- Balikpapan, Indonesia - services commenced 9 December 1994, terminated 15 February 2001
- Kuwait - services commenced 22 April 2000, terminated 31 October 2001
The high cost of fuel prompted the termination of the following services:
- Kuching, Malaysia - services commenced 14 May 1975, terminated 31 October 2004
- Taipei - services commenced 15 August 1986, terminated 31 October 2004
- Abu Dhabi, UAE - services commenced 30 March 1993, terminated 31 October 2004
- Kolkata, India - services commenced 4 November 1995, terminated 31 October 2004
