Ruari Harkin

Ruari Harkin (born October 11, 1989 in Derry) is a footballer currently playing midfield for the Charlton Athletic F.C. youth team.
Ruari arrived in the summer of 2006 from Derry based side Don Bosco's F.C.. Considered a favourite among coaches, this hardworking, tricky winger is an Ireland Under-17 International and even featured in the 2006 European Under 17 Championships, playing above his natural age group. He has also represented the Derry and District League in the Foyle Cup, (a tournament in which they finished runners up in, losing to Ferencvaros on penalties) and Londonderry in the 2004 Milk Cup, even bagging a goal for his local team. Ruari is a past pupil of St. Columb's College, Derry. Ruari also had trial periods at Blackburn Rovers F.C. and Derry City F.C. before finally signing for Charlton.
