"Run Runaway" is a hard rock song performed by Slade.
The song was written by Jim Lea and Noddy Holder and was on their 1984 album Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply. Slade, a British band, had a lot success in their home country, with 7 top 25 albums in the UK. Slade got a boost in the United States, when Quiet Riot covered their 1973 hit Cum on Feel the Noize. The song hit #5 in 1983 for 2 straight weeks. In 1984, Slade released Keep Your Hands off My Power Supply and the single Run Runaway became the bands' biggest American hit. The song peaked at #20 and spent a total of 8 weeks on Billboards Top 40 Chart. The second single, My Oh My, from that album hit #37.
The video for the song was filmed at Eastnor Castle in Ledbury in Herefordshire, England
In 1995, a Canadian band, Great Big Sea, recorded a cover of the song on their album Up
