[edit] Fair use claim for photo to be used in the Babe Ruth article
This photo was taken in 1929. The source of this photo is the book Yankees Century, published by Houghton Mifflin, authored by Gelnn Stout. The picture credit is given to the Baseball Hall of Fame.
A fair use claim is made for this photo to be used in the Babe Ruth article, in the section "Death of Helen." Helen Ruth was Ruth's first wife, and after their estrangement, she died in a house fire while living with her second husband Edward Kinder. The article went into detail on Helen's death, and the article also mentioned Ruths marital problems with Helen. The use of this photo is to show a more personal part of Ruth's life, that despite his success and fame, he was not immune from some of the trajedies of life.
The photo used in the article is reduced from its original source, and uses less resolution. The fair use of this photo is for educational and non-commercial purposes only.
